All my life I have been with animals. I grew up in the countryside. My first own animal was a hamster. We had budgies, cockatiels and parrots. Turtles, rabbits and cats. And a dog, a male poodle named Bonny. From the size and color he already had a certain similarity with the Schnauzer. He was black and of medium size. When I think about his nature, he had a lot of similarity with my Schnauzer male Zambo. A jack of all trades. He had absolutely his own opinion, was often alone in the village to the ladies on the way and could wrap everyone around his finger. For us children he was a loving companion through our childhood and youth. Unfortunately, when he was only 14 years old, he was hit by a car while out for a walk. I would have loved to have had a pony, but our property was too small for that. So I was allowed to take the ponies of our farmer for riding at the beautiful Baltic Sea. For me there was nothing more beautiful than riding with the ponies on the beach, through the water in the soft sand with the wind and the sea air.
All my life I have been with animals.
My first own dog was a shepherd bitch named Lasca. This dog accompanied me for many years. She was a family member also for my children that has remained in our memory until today. 3 shepherd dogs, 4 cats, 4 goats and 7 horses have accompanied my life. And 4 schnauzers.
My first schnauzer was Zambo von Manzenbach. He came to me in the kennel, put his paw on my leg and looked at me. The breeder only said that he had chosen his owner. So he came to us, to his new home.
For 14 years he was a joy in our lives every day. He had his absolutely own opinion, which I appreciate very much in every animal. Every animal is an independent living being with its own character, which must be respected.

My first own mare was Miss Tinguette, named after an actress from Paris. It was love at first sight. Actually she was supposed to be used as a jumper for riding lessons in a small riding school in France. She is a trained show jumper. However, as an Anglo-Arabian, she has quite a strong will of her own, which could not be combined with the riding students. I fought for her for a long time and then she was finally allowed to come to me. Today she is 36 years old and has been my faithful companion for 32 years. She showed me that an animal wants to be treated with respect and dignity and that most misunderstandings between humans and animals are due to the fact that we speak different languages. She has a very strong personality, just like Zambo. These two animals are my greatest teachers.
More than 30 years ago, I took the trainings to become an alternative practitioner and an animal healer. I also started with animal psychology back then. This training as an animal behavior therapist was then restarted and completed 15 years ago. My main focus was on horses with behavioral problems. My further training was with several well-known dog therapists and for the horse with Bea Borelle, Peter Kreinberg and Hans Joachim Neuhauser.
As an animal behavior therapist, my focus has been on horses that are behaviorally challenged.
I have learned the Tellington Touches as well as Tellington work with horses, ground work and riding according to the principles of the Ecole de légèreté, ground work according to Kreinberg and Parelli and Hans Jürgen Neuhauser. And all these trainers agree on one thing: if your animal doesn’t understand you, find a way to make it understand you.
All my animals, even the ones I had in training, were my teachers. Zambo won many shows and was even World Junior Winner. He was a real doer. In the ring absolutely reliable he did his job.
In order to understand the horse as a whole, I spent a year with a country veterinarian and several months with a hoof care specialist. I did my horses hooves myself for 27 years. Until I was no longer able to do so due to a car accident and the associated damage to my cervical spine.
My horses were without horseshoes from the beginning and so I have known the problem with hoof shoes for over 30 years. In the past, the paths were not gravelled with stones as they are today and so I was often able to avoid the problem by taking selected paths. In the meantime, this no longer works. The horses need optimal protection on their hooves. A protection that does not restrict the hoof function and optimally absorbs the shocks that occur when the horse’s hoof is put on the ground. When Equine Fusion hoof shoes came on the market, it was a revolution in the world of hoof shoes. The feet are not cramped and the hoof is protected. Just as I have always wanted in a hoof shoe. This hoof shoe is so optimal for the horse’s hoof that it can even be used as a sick shoe 24/7.
The inventors of this ingenious hoof shoe are constantly optimizing it. Meanwhile, it has a thick sole, but it is not made of hard plastic, but of soft rubber, kind of like a car tire. This soft material is also able to absorb shocks and is not just a pure protection from the stones and other bumps.

Therefore, this hoof shoe can also provide relief for horses with osteoarthritis. as well as for laminitis, for a hoof abscess or when the hoof groom has cut, for transport, to protect the hooves and much more. It can be used in a loose stall as well as in a paddock or just for riding out.
When it is no longer needed, it can be removed and the horse can enjoy its hooves.
How we like to just walk around barefoot in the sand at the beach and enjoy this feeling of well-being. Our horses must feel the same way when they are allowed to run without horseshoes or in the Equine Fusion hoof shoes.
The Equine Fusion Jogging Shoe is designed after the natural model of the hoof to maintain the fantastic function of the hoof’s biomechanics. The Norwegian company has worked on the development for over 5 years.
The biomechanics of the hoof are ingenious. Many think the hoof is a rigid, stiff thing. But it also works in a similar way to our foot. When lifting the feet, (hooves) the foot (hoof) contracts, the sole arch becomes stronger, when stepping the foot (hoof) widens again, the sole arch becomes smaller.
This function activates the so-called hoof pump in the horse. It transports the body fluids from the hoof back into the body. But for this, the hoof must have its full mechanism. Therefore, it is important for the hoof not to be permanently constricted. Our legs also swell and fluid accumulates in the lower legs when we do not move. The human body also needs this movement to move body fluids up from the lower extremities.
Since the hoof must bear the full weight of the animal, the hoof is of central importance to the horse.
In this hoof shoe the hoof shapes can change, irregular hoof shapes are not a problem. The frog is supported by the special pattern, that’s why it is excellent for horses with a sensitive hoof.
The increased stress on the hooves in sports, events and endurance riding is an enormous strain on the hoof. The hoof structure has to cope with excessive wear, tear and stress, this makes it especially difficult to maintain hoof function without any protection.
The shock absorbing effect the hoof naturally has is greatly lost with the iron. Impacts are no longer cushioned, and may even be amplified. Joint diseases can follow.
All Equine Fusion hoof shoes are comparable to the jogging shoe of humans and are therefore suitable for 24-hour continuous use, even over several weeks. It is very suitable for sensitive horses. It minimizes chafing and pressure points.
